That's nice to know :) I hope you have a nice time.

However... lets take a step back and look at this...

You've just emailed a public list informing us that you're going on
holiday. This is a list where most people have a few computers/bits of
IT equipment that could be attractive to some of the more nasty people
in society.

Also, apparantly approx. 80% of burglaries are committed by
family/close friends of the victim (something that the sales manager
at work just told me, unverified facts).

You have your work email address at the bottom of your email.

How difficult would it be for me to ask to see you, follow you home
and then burgle your house? Not that hard, I fear...

BTW, I have no intention of committing criminal acts to anyone on this
list. I'm just amazed at the lack of security some people have
(excluding windows boxes). I visited a potential customer yesterday,
and they proceeded to be very cagy about information on their company.
The MD then told us "We are very protective of our company
information". I laughed as I managed to observe the PBX login
passwords for a couple of their clients on the wall, in an email with
the subject "Super secret password for PBX XXXXX at XXXXXX". They also
left the room while I had a nose around on their laptop (I was only
checking the spec, but they didn't know that).

Amazing.

It's sod's law Andrew will now get burgaled and I'll end up doing a
few years in the slammer. Nice.

Jon
