Welcome. We aren't that formal - the fact that you've managed to join the list means that you _have_ "joined" the group.

Hope to see you at a meeting soon - we normally meet on the last thursday in the month, but December will be inevitably different, and we may move to the "second thursday of the month" in the new year anyway :-)

  Thank you for the talk on Linux at the Worthing computer fair on sunday.Most interesting.
  I would like to join your Sussex group and eventually remove windows totally from my machine. Ive had some experience with Linux and wwould like to go further.
