I don't really see how it's a 2-fingered salute to Microsoft. They've 
had to change their name because an Amsterdam court ruled that it was 
infriging on copyright. Microsoft won't be silly enough to go after 
Lindows now they're using the lin---s name, for the reasons detailed in 
the reg article.

It just shows the idiocy of some countries legal systems...
