I'd be interested in a fairly in-depth expose' of CUPS.  I can get it to
work but I don't really understaned what is going on under the hood.  I'd
like to find answers to questions like:

1.  Why is my HPLJ4Plus so much slower with CUPS than it is with Windows?

2.  Why does the printer stop printing between each page while it loads
the next page down?  Can't it buffer the data like it seems to do with
Windows?
