:) So do I, but then, that applies to almost all of the CLI utilities.
Aptitude is no exception to this.

apt-get install $(apt-cache search foo notekeeper | awk '{print $1}')

aptitude search yank | awk '$1 ~ /p/ {print $2}'

For example.

(N.B. results may be slightly different, but the indication is there)
