It should be quite an eventful, possibly frustrating evening, as today is
go-live for my Broadband connection.

Possible steps might be as follows:

0/	Install ethernet card
1/	re-configure gentoo to recognise ethernet card
1.1/	Make cup of coffee
1.2/ Reach for something stronger
1.3/	try to reconfigure gentoo again
1.4/ look up on narrowband to see what i'm doing wrong
1.n/	re-iterate above steps as necessary
2/	plug in Broadband router
3/	re-configure gentoo to recognise router
3.1/	Make yet another cup of coffee....
n.n/ .....

:-)

Seriously tho, once installed and running I can attempt to get some of those
lovely 3D games downloaded!

BTW

How long does it take to download a full distro such as debian? I might
have a go at a second distro to try out.
