I've just checked my old CVSROOT dir and I don't have a Entires
file.  The man page for CVS tells me that:`
   List and status of files in your working directory.
Did you do a checkout in the CVSROOT dir?

I would be scard, very very scard.  If it's permissions (and
ownership) are different then it looks like you've done a checkout
wrong at some point.  Check your data very, very carefully.

As an example I've listed my CVSROOT contents below [1].  Note that the
files are owned by root and are in the group of "steve" (my personal
group) so only I can check them out.
