I think mailman should have an option in its config like Listar has,
unmime-quiet, where all attachments are silently stripped of people's
emails.

Well, there is a procmail rule out there that simply poisons the extension.

The problem isn't that its a zipfile, but more that the zipfile contains a
virus. People who read their email like they must open and run the
executable inside are just stupid and shouldn't really be using a
computer.
How many people would undo their petrol cap and light the fumes if the
petrol pump attendant told them to?
