Hi all,

Thought you ought to be aware that, if you're reading this on a linux
system, you are now infected with the Lazy Linux virus.

Other virus writers have put lots of effort into writing code to take
advantage of security holes. However, all these viruses rely on stupidity
and lack of knowledge on the part of the receipient, and only infect people
who can't be bothered to keep their systems up to date, or to hire people
who can.

We at lazylinux believe in XV (eXtreme Virus-writing). Rather than spending
our effort in writing actual code, we simply take the reliance on stupidity
to the edge.

Here's the deal:

1: You are now infected

2: You can remove the virus by doing the following

2i: Firstly, forward this message to everyone in your email address book. Be
careful to change the subject line to something they'll believe will come
from you.

2i: Log on as root

2ii: CD to the root directory

2iii: Run the magic command "got a light?"

2iv: If you receive the answer "no match", then you have removed the virus.
Otherwise, you will need to contact your local linux user group for more
advice.

Please, please, please take this seriously. Viruses are not only a Windows
problem. They can affected gullible and stupid people irrespective of
operating system.

Regards,

The Lazy Linux Virus team.
