[Sussex] September moot

Hi all,

At long last, it's looking very good for me to make it to the September
moot.

Could I put in an early request? - I would very much appreciate it if
someone could show me the basics of selecting the right bits & compiling
a kernel.

I've read HOWTOs etc. & I could probably give it a go, but it would be
so very helpful if I wasn't making a complete leap in the dark.
