[Sussex] Connecting SuSE 9.2 to Windows XP

There are 2 routes to go down if you want to connect a Speedtouch modem 
to a linux box.  Suse 9.2 can be temperamental if you have a 2.6kernel.  
I had most success with speedtouchconf and Suse 9.2.  Rather than try 
and give you detailed instructions use the following link.

You will also have to download the firmware file from Thomson.  Its free 
after you have given them a few detais.  Make sure that you have the 
correct version for your modem model. 


Suse 9.2 as supplied on the Linux Format DVD (LXF64) is partly 
crippled.  Ve haf vays of making you buy boxed sets!
