Is your Mailbox format Mailbox or Maildir ? since Imap mail means you 
might be opening a unusually large file on the server to open your 
current mail or any folder. Maildir means that you have 1 file per EMail 
and this is very effecient for mailboxes where you have lots of mail or 
large mail files.
