I'll dig around for something like that.  I'm a convert to Gnome from
KDE but the administration tools are rather more disparate than in KDE
and not as detailed.  Gnome2 is more slick though I think.  It has a
glossiness and detail about it that I like.  Feels rather like Mac OSX.

The bad news is that the machine just had a kernel panic (Very Bad
Thing [TM]) in the midst of editing xorg.conf with vi.  (Maybe Linus
Torvalds is an Emacs user??!!??)  Cripes! Never had that before.  I did
recently start tracking the ubuntu backports archive and have noticed a
few stability issues since then on both my laptop and workstation.
Maybe there's more to this resolution thang than meets the eye!!

Not pointless at all.  Much appreciated.  I know some bits and pieces
about some bit and pieces - its always good to add in a new bit or
piece!!
