Menu editing in Gnome is a traditionally hairy area. There used to be a
program for doing it, but the menu structure has changed since then. If
you're running a reasonably recent gnome you should be fine just right
clicking on the existing menu entries, from there you can edit/delete them
or add a new one.

This feature is not documented though and will probably be removed in the
next gnome release because there is a new unified menu structure coming
that should see menus work correctly across Gnome and KDE :)
