I don't know how many of you have heard about the Geneva declaration. 

If you are in anyway interested in a better future driven by Free/Open
Software and the continued open exchange of academic ideas and research
as opposed to a further slide into the "lets patent everything" culture

As Poland showed us only recently, the "smaller" (for "smaller" read
"poorer") countries can stop the jugernaught of US IP policy if they get
the support they need from people like us.
