Interesting, when I last played with that - when I finally got around to
getting printing working on my Linux box (I printed so rarely back then,
and using OOo was lazy and just loaded up in Windows on the odd occasion
I needed to!) I looked at that, and even installed it - unfortunately I
couldn't find out what it did or how to use it. This time I installed it
and found a whole raft of new printers listed in CUPS - before I
reinstalled I had about 5 I think. No idea what went wrong last time,
I'm afraid I gave up trying to find a page describing what to do with
foomatic post install and downloaded the .ppd file manually and copied
it to the appropriate directory! It'll be interesting to see how the
output compares.
