[Sussex] Audacity error

Hi Rupert,

Thanks. I took a look round & lsmod just showed what I would expect. So
I explored the possibility of another sound server running somewhere. I
discovered that Gnome starts its own sound server so that it can play
sounds for system events. I can live without this quite happily as I
only have headphones connected at the moment & I have no intention of
wearing 'phones just so I can hear a tinkly bell or jingle every few
minutes.

Anyway, I disabled the Gnome sound server & Audacity started up with no
error messages & now plays audio again (sort of handy for an audio app).

Thanks,

Gavin.
