Many LUG members have been to these over the years.  I haven't been
myself for a couple of years now.

Ewwww..  Try LISP instead - it may be have been around for 5 decades
but it's got more new and interesting ideas than Java and .Net put
together.

I'm a full time Linux developer, but I've done my fair share of MS
development and I can only say that once you find the true path you
never look back.
