Hi folks

Thanks for all these positive replies.   Indeed - partially sighted in my 
case means getting to and fro is a problem but I'd be able to participate 
fully once there (well wouldn't be able to read a presentation without 
pre-arranged handouts but that's no worries).

Well and truly up for a beer (in Worthing in the first instance to make the 
journey easy methinks!) and given the only two pubs I've found thusfar are 
the Alexandra (let's literally not go there) and the Selden Arms (good beer 
but v small), I'll let you be the judges of where's best.

I don't use anything special as regards technology - other than the 
knowledge of where and how to increase font sizes.   While on the subject, 
if anyone knows how to get a large pointer in KDE, please let me know.
