[Sussex] ubuntu breezy

Hi Dudes

I upgraded to Ubuntu : Breezy last night.  It all works, after a fashon.  On bootup, once you get past the login screen - I get very strange behaviour: the splash image comes up and then I wait..... I wait..... I wait..... etc.  If I click on the image it dissapears, and after waiting for quite a while after this, the Gnome desktop fires up and everything is as it should be.

Any comments, Ideas, similar experiences?

HELP!
