[Sussex] DB9 to RJ45 - minicom?

Hi folks

Anyone know how I go about using a DB9 to RJ45 cable with something like
minicom?  Its a standard CISCO rollover cable (one of the blue flat ones) and
my laptop doesn't have a serial port, but does have an ethernet port.
Anyone care to share their wisdom on how to get it working?
