But there ARE options.

For XviD I can use mplayer and for Theora there is Istanbul.

As I now use AMD64 I can't use Flash; Micromedia haven't released for
Linux on this platform.  If we had have made recordings in Flash I would
not be able to view it.  Although arguments, like sovernty, that MA put
forward are true for me today.
