[Sussex] cluster

I have 3 old 400 MHz PC's or thereabouts and would like to build a
cluster mostly for fun but also to use for recording music. I have read
up on architectures and have decided to use a beowulf type setup with a
main front-end connected to some nodes that hopefully will help with the
workload. 

I am using Ubuntu 5.10 with kernel version 2.6 but since I am planning
on using OpenMosix I think I may have to use a different kernel.

My main problem is that I am not sure what I need to do in order to
install the OpenMosix software, and do I need to do anything special or
will it just work by itself. From what I can gather OpenMosix is a
kernel patch but I am not entirely sure what that is or how to use it.
