The speedtouch modem is supported (with Mandriva) but, I am not happy 
using such modems. I much prefer the use of the adsl modem/routers which 
are cheap enough and provide the external firewall, essential with 
windows, useful with Linux. They also provide 4 ethernet sockets for the 
several computers to be used simultaneously on the internet.
