Mooters

I am changing the process by which the list of attendees is sent to
Holbooks for each moot. From now on there is going to be a cut off of
at 15:00 hrs on the Wednesday before the moot.

I use to send the edit and send Thursday's auto reminder but now it is
more likely that I will on the site of the client that normally leads me
his projector. It's more or less on my way to Horsham so it make sense.
As a result I may not be able to get to my e-mails Thursday afternoon so
from now one I will be using the Wednesday 15:00 reminder as the list.

For those of you thinking "Why doesn't he auto send the list to
Holbrook?" my answer is simple: That isn't polite - The sign up form is
open so someone could and a rude or offensive name to the list, which,
if not caught and deleted, would be forwarded on to Holbrook. I think
it only polite that we have a human in that part of the loop.

Holbrook has been very good to us. They don't charge use for the use of
the room. They have also said that we can use their WiFi for free too.
Isn't that nice of them?

I shouldn't have to say this, but I will just in case. Don't go asking
for the passphrase yourselves. The lady behind the disk is probably not
aware that we can use it for free and may want to charge you before
handing it over. I also don't want a hurd of SLUGers wandering around
pesting the staff to get the password.

Whilest I'm in whinge mode one final whinge: Could Mooters please clean
up after themselves. That means returning your glass to the bar, your
plates to the canteen and taking your rubish away with you. Last month
there seamed to be more than useual.

We have a sweet deal with Holbrooks and I don't want to mess it up.
That means:

1). Making ourselves as inconspicuous as possible. That includes
leaving the meeting room as we found it so we don't place an extra
burden on their cleaning staff.

2). All communications for Holbrook go via me. It will make Holbrook
management's job easier if they are only dealing with one, known face.
After all if they have already said "sorry, but no" to a request I've
made I am sure they don't want to have to repeat themselves to every
mooter.

Sorry to whinge.

Hope to see you tonight.

Steve
