First weekend is when the fanboys buy any console. There is hype a plenty, 
freebies and photo opportunities. Once the dust settles, everyone else 
evaluates things and decides whether to buy that console or not.

Try and buy a PS3. Amazon have them in stock. Then try and buy a Wii. Demand 
outstripping supply there by some considerable margin.

That's one way of interpreting one weekend of sales of one console.
