What do you mean 'Linux Friendly' in the context of an ISP?

I have been with tiscali broadband for nearly 4 years, and I have to
admit they have been pretty reliable. The worst provider in my
experience is BT and incidentally the most expensive. I get some
4megabits and come November will have the whole package including
telephone line for £19.99 Their servers run FreeBSD and Apache.

I use a proper modem/router with firewall but the thomson device they
send out also works with Linux. Using the USB modem is not recommended
though as, depending on your processor speed, it can dramatically slow
your broadband.

I do not use that other system at all, Linux all the way for me and it
has been so for many years now even when I was using dial-up.
