Can anyone shed any light on the origin of about 10 emails that I have
received in the last 14 days. I am using SimplyMepis 6.0, Kmail,
SpamAssassin & ClamAV ona standalone laptop.

Each one shows as No subject: Sender unknown: Date Thu Jan 1 00:59 59 1970.

Show all headers gives the following:
X-Spam-Checker-Version: SpamAssassin 3.1.3 (2006-06-01) on mepis1.example.dom
 X-Spam-Level: ***
 X-Spam-Status: No, score=3.3 required=5.0
tests=EMPTY_MESSAGE,MISSING_SUBJECT,
        NO_RECEIVED,NO_RELAYS,TO_CC_NONE autolearn=no version=3.1.3
 X-Virus-Flag: no
 X-UID:
 Status: R
 X-Status: NC
 X-KMail-EncryptionState:
 X-KMail-SignatureState:
 X-KMail-MDN-Sent:

The machine is multi-boot with XP home and Ubuntu as alternative os's. XP
would have gone last year but I cannot get the SatNav software program which
installs the maps to run under Linux. About 3 weeks ago I had to load some
European maps and I did install the latest security updates for WinXP but the
firewall blocked the sending of updated system info to Microsoft. Could
these emails be an attempt to probe my windows installation?
