At last I have in my hands a USB Wi-Fi device which is Linux friendly.
54Mbps
Chipset Zydas 1211B
Safecom SWMULZ-5400 (8.99+Vat from www.qtds.com)
On the packet it says:-
64/128/256-bit WEP/WPA/WPA2/WPA-PSK/WPA2-PSK encryption
TKIP(Temporal Key Integrity Protocol) - phew!
The disk contains drivers for Windows (not Vista), Linux and for Mac
But the device is fully compatible with Vista according to Google.
I buy a lot of products from qtds and do know them personally.
They negotiate their contracts in the far east and do the importing
(Rodion is off to HK next Wednesday) I have installed (dual boot) Linux
on Rodion's laptop and he always raises the issue of Linux with the
suppliers.

Windows users love viruses, others use UNIX and Linux.
