On the Wi-Fi simply open the Mandriva Control Panel and you need the 
administrator password for this then setup the adsl etc, select 
wireless, it will find your Intel ipw2200 insert system disk etc. After 
this you will find the firmware for the ipw2200 in /lib/firmware.
It helps also if you are on the internet through the ethernet as there 
may be newer packages than those on the DVD.
