I just read the post on the above link. I wouldn't wish to stand in the way
of anyone who wants to start a local LUG, but it seems to me that whoever
the originator of the Worthing LUG idea may be, they clearly haven't been to
any SLUG moots in Horsham for a very long time. Personally, I wouldn't
describe as "quiet", a group that regularly has 20+ in attendance, has
enjoyed talks on vi, GIT, audio & LateX - to name only a few recent topics -
& which enjoys a consistent level of friendly but lively discussion & debate
amongst its "membership" who range from newbies to very experienced IT
professionals.

Gavin.

It's not me but it could be helpful as I am Worthing based and haven't made
it to Horsham yet.

I did ask whether the Littlehampton group could be resurrected as I have
trouble getting to Horsham and Guildford. But I have had no definite reply
so far.
Gavin has kindly taken me to Horsham several times in the past but I can't
rely on him always. Guidlford is 3 hrs by train there and back, Farnborough
is 5hrs round trip. The evening meetings are no good to me but a Saturday
would be great.

This may come from a Dell with Ubuntu or from an Asus Eee PC series midget
lap top with another Linux Distro. Sometimes I use a minimac. I can assure
you that I no longer use XP and Vista is almost unknown to me.

I didn't receive anything from the lug.org.uk admin when I last posted
there, but I will admit that I was (and am) a bit busy so I haven't been
chasing.

Is there anyone on the list that would like to be webmaster? I agree it
does need sorting.
