Yeah, what's happening here is that the site is still closed for beta
users only. But, when it opens up this week, your invited friends can
come right in and join your group and do anything else on the site.

Thanks for your patience!

A couple of the members on the Sussex Linux User Group mailing list have
expressed an interest in joining beta.linux.com
<http://beta.linux.com>. I'm a member, so I
tried sending them invitations. When clicking on the link in the
invitation, they were prompted to enter a username and password, before
they could access the registration form. A similar thing happened when I
tried to manually register them accounts: they were prompted to enter a
username and password when attempting to activate their account. The
username and password for the non-activated account didn't seem to work.
Would it be possible to either change the way user's are authenticated,
give the Sussex Linux User Group some invites that work, or for you to
register them accounts? Thanks for such a great site.
