Thanks for the information. I note that KateOS has by default a rather old kernel - 2.6.21 We have been moving on significantly with other Distros. Mandriva 2009.0 is on 2.6.27 while Mandriva 2009.1 is on 2.6.29.3 and the latest one available is 2.6.29.4
