Obviously the Atom board won't be as fast as the 2.4GHz Pentium 4 but 
hey, look at the power you will save!

Seriously though, if the speed of the Atom is enough for your purpose 
then this is a good way to go.

Besides which, you could always go for the dual-core Atom, and I would 
guess that that will be faster than you present processor and it will 
save you power as well.

My present working machine is the Atom dual-core and uses the Intel M/B.
