[Sussex] Fw: [steem] Finally... open source steem!

With apologies for cross-posting.

I though some of you may be interested in this:

STeem is an emulator allowing users to run programmes written for the
Atari ST on PCs running MS Windows or GNU/Linux. It has been
around for a long time - 10 years or more, but development by the
authors faltered owing to their workload.

I was among a large number of STeem users asking the authors generously
to release the source code so that regular development could continue.
After 2 or 3 years silence, they have announced that STeem is now open
source - see message below my ramblings.

STeem is already a reliable emulator & freedom to develop it can only
improve it further.

Best wishes to all,
Gavin.

Hi,

we've finally released Steem's source code as open source under GPL3.
You can find the code of the current release here:

http://code.google.com/p/steem-engine/

- with a few tweaks to help it compile against newer version of the
libraries.

See the windows-build and X-build folders for build instructions and
let us know if you're interested in forking the source.

Enjoy!

Anthony and Russell Hayward
