All of you are warmly invited to the Portsmouth LUG Bring a Box meeting, on
Saturday, 20th December, from 13:00 to 18:00 at the Broadoaks Social Club.
http://www.broadoaksocialclub.net/where.html

The talk that had to be put off last month will take place this. Keith
Edmunds of Tiger Computing will talk to us about running an entirely Linux
Consultancy.

Keith says that he will be talking about:
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------
From fun to profit: the story of Tiger Computing

In 2002, convinced that there was a place for Linux in businesses, I set up
Tiger Computing. I'll talk about:

 - how we got where we are
 - what was fun
 - what was not
 - the kind of technology we use
 - what it's really like running a Linux business
 - how you can get involved if you want to
---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

If anyone would particularly like anything else mentioned, just let me know
and I'll ask Keith.

We shall also have our usual bring a box meeting. To quote the Surrey LUG
website:
"Bring a 'box', bring a notebook, bring anything that might run Linux, or just
bring yourself and enjoy socialising/learning/teaching or simply chilling
out!"
Bring any problems, come to have help installing Linux or to pick up
installation media.

Since it is our Christmas meeting there will be mincepies, cookies,
biscuits.... Depends a bit what I remember to buy and bring!

Liquid refreshments, including non-alcoholic, available at the bar.

Let's have a seasonal celebration.

It is a club requirement that we all sign in on the list which will be at the
back of the room.

Lisi
