[Sussex] January moot

Looking forward to the first moot of the new year.

Unless anyone has anything they can't wait to share, there is no
specific talk this month. However, I would like to lead discussions on
a few topics. In particular, I am interested in the government's new
plan to teach programming to every schoolchild. Is there a role for
advocates of free software? How can we show the benefits of GNU/Linux
operating systems with their inbuilt & readily available compilers &
other coding essentials?

I have also been thinking about new features for moots & for the list.
I shall be interested to hear thoughts on having something like a
"software of the month" which could be highlighted on the list with
further exploration at the moot.

I hope to discuss these & other things on Thursday.
