Very little. There may be some coding to do for mutations, but that is a
relatively trivial job (simple string manipulation and a look-up table)
provided we know that a mutation is supposed to be there.

The main bulk of the work will be taking the actual text strings and
translating them. For GNOME, at least, I believe these .po files can be
read as text, or certainly through apps such as gtranslator 
(http://www.gtranslator.org/ - was a bit core-dump prone when I tried it, 
but that was over two years ago now.)

Actually, would it be worth Gareth, Justin/Alan or somebody setting up a 
separate mailing list for the Welsh Linux project (if it is a project by 
now)? There seems to be a critical mass.
