[SWLUG] oo.o and wordart

anyone have any experience using openoffice.org to convert ms wordart in 
documents, i have a teacher friend who likes oo.o but needs to work with 
wordart from existing ms word docs, simply bring able to make new docs using 
fontworks is not enough he needs to be able to convert a word document into 
oo.o and then edit any wordart in it,

oddly specific info on this seems to be lacking when i google on oo.o and 
wordart :(
