Hi Everyone,

Just a few subjects that I'd like to raise re the Awareness Day

Equipment transportation, there has been the very kind offer of a van by
Richard, he will drive up to Swansea on the Thursday evening and pick up
any equipment. He has promised that he will bring it back :) and that it
will be kept in a secure place Thursday night ready for setup on Friday.
I'm certain that we can also arrange pickups either by Richard in the
van or by myself in my car for people in Cardiff.

Security, the council are apparently giving us a 100mb link to the
internet with no restrictions and no security. Therefore we need to
setup a firewall on this link quite early on the Friday, does anyone
want to voluteer to do this? I can provide a machine if necessary.

Friday night after party, I was thinking that we could all head out for
something to eat in the evening. We can sort this out on the day but I
thought I'd better warn people that we may go for a meal after the
event, restaurant suggestions within walking distance of the county hall
might be useful.

Distributions, okay so we'll be burning cds at the event for people to
take away. I think the suggestions were Red Hat Debian, Mandrake and
then some of the cd only distos like Knoppix and mosix. I was also
thinking about burning some copies of smoothwall, does anyone have any
other suggestions?

Thats all that I can think of at the moment, I guess I'll raise more
issues throughout the week as things come to mind.

Phil.
