It rather implies either an irq or io clash,
what have you told the pnp system to assign ?
its been a long time since i frobbed with isa cards, but afair pnpdump
gave you a config file with several choices of io and irq to assign, you
have to select (uncomment) the ones you want to use and it will set the
card to use them, so look in /proc/ioports and /proc/interrupts and pick
ones that arent used by anything else.
