[SWLUG] SuSE update

Whilst I'm posting here...

SuSE's automatic update thingy has told me there's a kernel patch
available (2.4.20-115), which they think I ought to install for security
reasons etc etc.

I'm a bit chary of this because I've had problems before with my nVidia
graphics card after kernel updates.  Is there any way I can defend
myself against this?

Apart from getting a decent graphics card (OK, OK.  Funny once!)

I've put the update on hold at the moment.
