[SWLUG] card-capable lasers?

Hi there swluggers,
Lasers came under some discussion lately, and as I'm hopefuly going 
to be able to afford a new (2nd hand!) one in the nearish future,
I thought some of you guys may be able to help here...

I do a fair amount of papercraft stuff ('origami'-like paper models,
e.g. yamaha's bike ones:

It'd be nice to have a printer that I could use to do b&w nets 
directly - any body have experience of low-end lasers with a 
straight-thru paper path that're good for this kind of thing?
