Dear all,

Since installing broadband and the router (and thank you for your advice - the phone bill's dropped dramatically!), I've not been able to SSH to a site that I was able to get to beforehand. I don't know if these two things are related at all.

I use 'ssh-keygen -t rsa' to generate the key. This creates /home/o-dzin/.ssh/id_rsa and /home/o-dzin/.ssh/id_rsa.pub

I take the pub and post it at the website of our website host, along with my IP address (discovered via whatismyip.com). That is supposed to be enough.

When I attempt to SSH I'm not allowed to login

ssh -v <user>@<domain>
OpenSSH_3.6.1p2, SSH protocols 1.5/2.0, OpenSSL 0x0090701f
debug1: Reading configuration data /etc/ssh/ssh_config

debug1: match: 1.2.32 pat 1.2.1*,1.2.2*,1.2.3*
debug1: Local version string SSH-1.5-OpenSSH_3.6.1p2
debug1: Waiting for server public key.
Received disconnect from <domain-ip>: Sorry, you are not allowed to connect.
debug1: Calling cleanup 0x8062180(0x0)

I've been through this with the website technical support but they cannot see anything I'm doing wrong.

Does this ring any bells with anyone?

Thank you for any assistance,

'o-Dzin
