thanks - I tracked it down (with Bascule's help) to the RPMLOCK
file that you mentioned. Thanks for the good information.

Actually the whole problem arose when I tried to update the sources,
so that isn't a problem. It's fixed... all I need to do now is choose an
IRC client.
