[SWLUG] OSS in Brazil

Has anyone else seen a report about the Brazillian government
adopting open source software software in an attempt to cut down on
MS software costs and, presumeably, their balance of trade deficit?
And how MS has had to cut its prices by 50% in an effort to combat the
move?

I saw this last week on the BBC News 24 channel. Unfortunately, it
didn't show any example screenshots of the OSS they are using. They
only managed a screenshot of XP and a shot of the MS HQ in Brazil (a
very impressive building - showing how much they have been profiting
from a county which cannot afford their software).
