Dear All
Mandrakelinux 10.1 (Official)
I am using a USB hub into which I connect a printer, scanner, an external
storage device and now a second external storage device.
I have two external USB storage devices and only one of them is recognised
when I insert it into the USB hub or directly into a USB port on my laptop.
The one that is recognised is identified as \"OTi6828UStorage\". A new icon
appears on the desktop and when I double click the content appears in
Konqueror. It is mounted at point \"devsda1mntremovable\" and the
content is
shown in /mnt/removable. Though this folder is only available when the
device
is mounted.
My second USB storage device, brand name Disgo, is not recognised at all.
I have looked at the manual but this says that the device should be mounted
automatically.
I tries to mount it manually by first making a directory
/mnt/removable. Then
I typed as root "mount auto /dev/sda1/ /mnt/removable". The response was:
"mount: fs type /dev/sda1/ not supported by kernel".
But of course I would like to mount this as a user as well.
Any help appreciated
Stephen
