I've heared that Mandrake 10.2 delivers a nice 64 bit version.

Subject: [SWLUG] 64 bit Operating Systems

Following on the various postings on the subject, I have been using
Mandrake 10.0 since last October (32 bit OS) and by and large have been
very happy with it, as I was with 8.2 & 9.0 which were it's predecessors
on my old AMD 32 bit machine.

I recently built an AMD 64 bit 2.8 gig based machine, Mandrake 10 runs
very well on this but I have also just installed Suse 9.2 as this
(supposedly) has a 64 bit option which I presume installs a kernel which
is 64 bit optimised.

Sad to say, I cannot detect a noticeable difference, in fact I would say
that the 32 bit Mandrake 10 OS seems faster.

Has anyone any experience of this or any useful comments ?
