I have now actually started using VMWare fusion for mac for my linux  
needs.  fink is ok, and it may turn out useful for a little app here  
and there, but I think it is going to have to be virtualisation for  
programming the way I want it.  I can't be bothered with the hassle  
of getting the development packages etc for mac, and then maybe  
having to port to get it working on linux afterwards anyway.
