Not really - Cardiff is a PITA for parking.  The nearest place I know 
you can park after 6:30 without vouchers is The Parade.  Directions from

Umm - we try to talk about techie stuff as well as have a few beers and 
maybe some food.  Level of technical conversation is largely controlled 
by who is there - we just try to find something everyone can talk about :)
